What a year 2018 has been for Harbro Events – we put on 22 events over the year for thousands of people in Scotland and Northern Ireland and raised £3000 for good causes.
Some highlights have been taking The Whiskey Social over the water to Belfast for the first time and sharing out love of the golden spirit to a whole new audience – many of whom had never been to a whisky festival as it was the first one held in Northern Ireland.
Falkirk Gin Festival moved to a bigger home, allowing more exhibitors and more guests to attend and Craft Beer Discovery expanded into Dundee for a sell out inaugural festival.
The launch of Frock Treatment – a LGBTQI friendly drag queen show – was well received in Falkirk and we put on six shows from February to December, raising £3000 for charities including Strathcarron Hospice, FDAMH and The Terrence Higgins Trust.
Love Vegan expanded in to Glasgow and did a further two weekend in Falkirk – the Xmas show asked for donations to the Food Bank and 170kg of food was donated as well as £305 for the Falkirk branch.
But we aren’t pausing to reflect on the last year too long, as 2019 is also shaping up to be busy.
Falkirk Gin Festival, the Whisk(e)y Social and Craft Beer Discovery are all back for 2019 as well as Love Vegan Festival and Frock Treatment. We also have some extra special brand new events that we can’t wait to start shouting about.
