Gearing up for the next Harbro Events
We finally have some nicer weather – feels like spring sprung very late this year.
The sun wasn’t quite shining for Falkirk Gin Festival last Saturday, but the dispositions inside were sunny! The Fentimans sponsored event moved from the Dobbie Hall to MacDonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa and we think it was an ever better venue to host 25 gin brands and 800 guests. The huge event room meant everyone – including the G&T bar – was on one level and as a result the event flowed better. The bar was never too busy and foyer area provided a more chilled out atmosphere for those wanting a break.
We were over the moon at all the lovely comments from guests and exhibitors and we were thrilled that Stokerij Klopman chose our event as their first ever gin festival. They were extremely popular on the day as well as the much loved Scottish and English brands.
Falkirk Gin Festival will return next year – watch out for tickets being released as session two sold out very quickly in 2018.
Our attentions are now on Craft Beer Discovery Falkirk, which launched last year and returns to Falkirk Stadium on Saturday June 23. After successfully bringing the festival to Dundee earlier this year, we have made CBD even better and are ready to come back with a bang.
We have lined up some great street food vendors including Stirling based Prime Street Food and popular Glasgow Indian pop-up Babu Kitchen and have shifted from live band as the entertainment to great acoustic acts playing mainly covers of songs.
Confirmed exhibitors are: Tryst Brewery/Tempest/Edinburgh Beer Factory/Fierce Brew/Krafty Brew/Merchant City Brewing/Stewart Brewing/Fyne Ales/Top Out/Alechemy/ 71 Brewing/Hybrid Brewing/Up Front Brewing.
Again there will also be a gin and fizz bar for those that don’t like beer and cider will be available too. Entry includes a branded CBD pint glass and free samples of as many beers and ales as you’d like.
Tickets for CBD Falkirk are on sale now from harbroevents.co.uk
Tickets of The Whisky Social on Saturday August 18, 2018 at the Dobbie Hall are flying out the door – particularly now we have announced Rosebank Distillery as an exhibitor. The malt, which stopped being produced in 1993, will return to shelves after Iain MacLeod Distillery purchased the distillery on the Union Canal and the rights to the name. Rosebank is highly coveted in the whisky world and we are thrilled they have chosen Whisky Social Falkirk as their first ever whisky festival to attend. Guests will get to sample their 12 year old and meet brand ambassadors to find out more about Rosebank and when malts will be produced again. As well as Rosebank, we have lots of great confirmed exhibitors and as usual all guests will get a tasting glass and be free to try as many of the dozens of drams on offer as they would like.
The remaining tickets for both sessions are available from harbroevents.co.uk
