5ive comes to Larbert, Whisky Social heads across the water and Love Vegan expands into Glasgow

Wow, what a start to 2018 we have had, it’s been non-stop since the bells for Harbro Events.

Little Mix Magic were fantastic when they played the Dobbie Hall in January, they had the crowd on their feet all night and sounded and moved just like the real band.  The show was a sell out and the screaming from the kids in the audience was incredible. The girls are returning for a Halloween special on October 28 and tickets will be on sale shortly.

We also hosted drag queen bingo at Behind the Wall in Falkirk on February 2 to raise money for Strathcarron. Glasgow queens Alana Duvey, Dharma Geddon and Lacy Rain were absolutely amazing, covering songs from the West End and world of pop and hosted a very cheeky few rounds of bingo. We raised £274 for Strathcarron, and thanks to everyone that came along to the sold out show.

Love Vegan Festival is expanding into Glasgow’s west end, setting up at Patrick Burgh Halls. There will be 50 exhibitors and 6 caterers and we are super excited to eat ALL the food. The two day festival is on March 17-18 and tickets are £3 on the door, kids £1 and toddlers go free.

Harbro Events has booked 90s boyband 5ive to play the Dobbie Hall in Larbert in June, and two thirds of tickets have been snapped up in just two days! Scott, Sean and my 15-year-old self’s mega crush Ritchie will play all their hits like Slam Dunk the Funk and If Ya Getting Down while Heart Radio presenter Lynne Hoggan will spin the 90s tunes all night long. Get the Adidas popper trackies and the blue mascara looked out, because the theme is 90s and we want to see lots of replica Spice Girls outfits and Blossom-esque clobber.

Earlier this year Andy and I headed over to Belfast to check out venue to take The Whisky Social to Northern Ireland, the trip was crazy, fitting in four venue viewings, meeting tourism officials and drinking lots of Guinness but we have a venue! We are adding an ‘e’ to taking The Whiskey Social to Belfast’s snazzy Waterfront in September.

We have a few more amazing bookings to tell you about soon – we will let you know all about them once they are confirmed but they are VERY exciting!

See you at an event soon

Kirsty
